Mountain Hardshell 2.5 L (Lightweight Waterproof & Windproof Jacket)

Mountain Hardshell is a fully featured hardshell technical waterproof jacket built with more specifications than our Monsoon Cyclone Parka. 

We have placed hand pockets toward the chest area to be able to use the pocket with the backpack buckle on. Underarm ventilation has been made longer for increased breathability. The pockets have been created using laser technology, and seams are fully taped by special machines using the best tape and waterproof zippers for additional waterproofing.

Designed with the avid all-weather adventurer in mind, the Mountain Hardshell is ideal for hillwalking, motorbiking, hiking, trekking, and mountain scrambles.

What is a Shell?

Shell is the outer layer of a garment. Much like with an egg, the ‘shell’ is the tough exterior that keeps the elements (rain, wind, snow) away from you.

What’s a Hardshell?

Stiffer outermost layer made from waterproof fabric that is durable and can withstand heavy rainfall, snow, and wind.

What is a 2.5 Layer?

A jacket with 2.5 layer fabric is lightweight, is packable and you will feel comfortable in it as it is made from a flexible material. It doesn’t make the wearer feel bulky and doesn’t restrict the freedom of movement.

Product Care

• Machine wash using a small amount of liquid detergent.
• Rinse twice and spin as little as possible to prevent creasing.
• Powder detergents, fabric softeners, stain removers, and bleach should all be avoided.
• Dry it on a warm, mild cycle in the dryer.
• To reactivate the durable water repellent (DWR) treatment on the outer fabric, tumble dry the jacket for 20 minutes.
• Use special Spray or Wash-In solutions from Nikwax or Grangers to reactivate water repellency.
• Don’t twist and do not hard machine wash, and you can hand wash the product rarely to ensure the longevity of the product.
