Kanchenjunga Insulated Jacket

Along with performance alpine design, the Kanchenjunga Jacket delivers warmth without restricting the freedom of movement. The outer fabric is wind-resistant. The inner synthetic insulation is durable, retails warmth when wet, and is easy to care for.  The insulated hood adds warmth and protection, and fleece-lined pockets seal out drafts. We have named this insulated jacket Kanchenjunga as its prototype was field-tested on the glaciers of Kanchenjunga, the third-highest mountain that lies in the border region between eastern Nepal & India.

This versatile jacket makes for a perfect stand-alone outer jacket in the cooler months. And a cozy insulating mid-layer piece under a shell in the frigid winter months.

Care

Machine cold wash using a small amount of liquid detergent. Rinse twice and spin as little as possible to prevent creasing. Powder detergents, fabric softeners, stain removers, and bleach should all be avoided. Dry it on a warm, mild cycle in the dryer. To reactivate the durable water repellent (DWR) treatment on the outer fabric, tumble dry the jacket for 20 minutes. Best not to use powder detergent and washing machine as it weakens seam taping & the fabric. Strongly advised to clean the outer fabric only with either wet wipes or soap, water, and a piece of cloth.
